Gold deals on Moscow Exchange fall 66% to 13.5 tns in 2019

MOSCOW, Jan 10 (PRIME) -- The physical volume of deals with gold on the Moscow Exchange fell by 65.85% on the year to 13.49 tonnes in 2019, the exchange said in a statement on Friday.

The deals with silver rose 5.27% to 9.992 tonnes.

In monetary terms, the gold and silver deals amounted to 39.3 billion rubles in 2019, down from 102 billion rubles in the previous year.

In December 2019, the total amount of deals was 1.1 billion rubles. In real terms, gold deals amounted to 0.35 tonnes and silver ones to 0.5 tonnes.
